Stories I've Edited

Vox Magazine

A dive into a local music scene's resilience

and compassion.

During my final semester at the University of Missouri, I was a staff editor for Vox Magazine's culture department. It was there I learned how to be a guiding hand, from the pitching process to the finishing touches. I discovered I had a real passion for editing.

Vox Magazine

A look at a local author's realistic portrayal of being transgender and how book-banning laws are increasingly targeting queer novels.

My responsibilities included pitching new ideas, contacting sources and fact checking, working with and teaching inexperienced writers, ensuring our stories had our signature Vox voice and visually organizing stories for both print and online.

Vox Magazine

A story about the importance of keeping the ownership of a staple business local.

Vox Magazine

How important is art to a city? In Columbia's case, very.
